Senior Application Support (Trading Apps) - Financial Services

Job Description

A Financial Services Company based in London is currently seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst to join their EMEA Technology team, supporting their trading applications.

The team prioritises and resolves faults or queries on trading applications across all clients, suggesting methods to build and implement measurable improvements to the services.

Key Duties:

• Provide production support and maintenance on the application architecture
• Perform a level of monitoring, tuning and optimization of performance of IT applications
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Manage upgrades of applications and technical components
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of business test phases
• Create and update all documents related to applications and their supporting systems
• Collaborate and work efficiently with members from other teams

Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar Application Support position, ideally in the Banking or Financial Sector
• Experience of supporting Trading Applications
• Analytical and Diagnostic Skills
• Red Hat Linux O/S experience, Windows O/S beneficial
• Scripting skills (ie Python, Powershell, Bash, Shell)

Beneficial:

• Working Knowledge of SSRS and SSIS
• Support of applications using .NET 2.0, 3.0 ASP and Windows applications and services
• Data Warehousing
