    Solutions Architect (Digital Transformation) - Financial Services

    The company are currently re-engineering there core platform, so there is a lot of investment in change and the digitalization of their solution/platfrom for their clients.

    The Solutions Architect will work closely with the Lead Architect, Business, Delivery and Engineering Teams to shape technology solutions that deliver key strategic and regulatory change aligned to the long-term IT strategy of the company.

    The Solutions Architect will also shape and drive solution thinking and best practice across multiple areas to support delivery of regulatory, risk mitigation and strategic initiatives. The role also involves leading design reviews to ensure compliance of proposed designs by third party vendors.

    Experience required;

    * Working as a solution architect in a regulated environment

    * Experience of delivering designs in one or more Financial Services domains, such as Loans, Payments, Accounting, Insurance

    * Transformation/migration of legacy applications into modern digitally aligned solutions

    * Ability to support domains such as Infrastructure and InfoSec

    * Communicating complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

    * Any experience working with AWS, Salesforce and integration with multiple external services beneficial as would integration with IBM Integration technologies

      Our client are a highly regarded, and already globally-renowned, UK based RegTech business providing innovative regulatory reporting software solutions, primarily to tier 1 and 2 Investment Banks.

      This is an exciting time to join them. They are embarking on setting-up a presales function from scratch globally, starting from their global HQ in London. So you will be the first onboard to help with the sales effort of closing prospects and pipeline utilising your fantastic POC capabilities, product knowledge, and functional understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements that European Banks face. Secondly, you will be helping to form the presales blue-print and structure around presale client engagement through to close.

      You will have previous experience of (ideally) regulatory reporting presales aligned to either Capital Reporting or Liquidity Reporting, or experience of working in capital or liquidity reporting consulting/management consulting for a consultancy firm who can transition into RegTech presales. Alternatively you may be working in product or implementation and wanting to make the move into strategic client acquisition and presales.

      Sterlings are currently partnered with a Financial Services Company who are currently seeking a Database Support Engineer to join their EMEA Technology team.

      The team drives support for the Microsoft SQL Server estate, working closely with Application Support and other technology stakeholders.

      As well as responding to Incident & Request tickets and monitoring alerts, the team ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the companies recovery objectives.

      From a technical perspective this person will configure SQL Server monitoring tools to minimise false alarms, perform regular patching of SQL Servers, raise and execute change requests and deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors.

      The team also look at pro-active solutions so when performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes.

      There will also be the opportunity to be involved in migration of database from On-Premise to Cloud technologies like AWS.

      Key Requirements;

      • Experience in helping build and operate highly available, complex customer facing systems at scale in a 24x7 environment
      • Experience with clustering, disaster recovery and high availability
      • The willingness to look at automating tasks with Ansible or similar tools
      • Experience with Git and Github for code repository would be highly beneficial
      • Knowledge of database security
      • Strong understanding of enterprise monitoring solutions such as Nagios and HP Arcsight
