A leading FinTech Company is currently seeking an Application Support Analyst to joint their US Technology team.
The Support engineer is responsible for incident triaging, troubleshooting, resolution/workarounds, performing root cause analysis, interactions with business and internal stakeholders with clear and crisp communications, code fixes for address the issues permanently. This would predominantly be a level 2 support position.
Other duties include period analysis on the incidents reported to identify system pain points and looking at area of improvements as well automation opportunities.
There will be a lot of opportunity for internal mobility, learn a complex technical environment as well as cloud technologies, monitoring tools as the business are always investing in new tools.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity becuase they are really looking for someone with experience of bringing presales structure and process, to influence and hold people accountable during the presale process to prospective clients. This position would be the Lead Presales person for EMEA.

You will have to have previous experience of presales - specifically for derivatives solutions for buy-side clients. You will therefore have proven experience of product demos, proof of concepts, RFI's/RFP's, helping to close out sales pipeline - through detailed understanding of derivatives software used by Asset Managers or Hedge Funds and the real business problems that the software solves.

This is an exciting time to join them. They are embarking on setting-up a presales function from scratch globally, starting from their global HQ in London. So you will be the first onboard to help with the sales effort of closing prospects and pipeline utilising your fantastic POC capabilities, product knowledge, and functional understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements that European Banks face. Secondly, you will be helping to form the presales blue-print and structure around presale client engagement through to close.
You will have previous experience of (ideally) regulatory reporting presales aligned to either Capital Reporting or Liquidity Reporting, or experience of working in capital or liquidity reporting consulting/management consulting for a consultancy firm who can transition into RegTech presales. Alternatively you may be working in product or implementation and wanting to make the move into strategic client acquisition and presales.
Sterlings are currently partnered with a Financial Services Company who are currently seeking a Database Support Engineer to join their EMEA Technology team.
The team drives support for the Microsoft SQL Server estate, working closely with Application Support and other technology stakeholders.
As well as responding to Incident & Request tickets and monitoring alerts, the team ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the companies recovery objectives.
From a technical perspective this person will configure SQL Server monitoring tools to minimise false alarms, perform regular patching of SQL Servers, raise and execute change requests and deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors.
The team also look at pro-active solutions so when performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes.
There will also be the opportunity to be involved in migration of database from On-Premise to Cloud technologies like AWS.
