Automation Test Lead - FinTech

A global FinTech is seeking an Automation Test Lead to spearhead the Test Engineering Teams in developing test plans and owning the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures, and ensure that these meet quality standards. This person will have extensive knowledge of automated testing tools, quality control, and assurance approaches such as the creation of a reusable test automation framework for the entire organization.

You will:

• Be responsible for system integration and automation testing in regards to newly developed or enhanced applications.
• Responsible for reviewing requirements and design artefacts, developing unit, integration, and system test cases, and ensuring extensive test coverage for the cloud application.
• Lead, develop, and advise on test automation strategies and provide critical feedback in requirements, design, implementation, and execution phases.
• Be able to advise and get involved in the automation of all software layers (e.g. UI, services, APIs, etc.) as well as CI/CD technologies (e.g. Cloudbees, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira, etc.).
• Be able to develop and improve Automation solutions in a CI/CD environment.
• Define, design, and develop tools and Automation Frameworks for current and next generation platforms and frameworks as part of an Agile team.
• Contribute to the Automation development of end-to-end regression.

Your experience:

• Extensive experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Experience in being a leading figure in a Testing function.
• In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle.
• Have extensive experience in Java and Selenium technologies, particularly in applying these skills in test environments.
• Able to test modern scripting language-based components.
• Experience with front-end & back-end testing.
• Ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and onsite/offshore work models.

This is a permanent position based in Jersey City, operating on a hybrid work setup.
