Application Support (Electronic Trading) - Investment Bank
A leading Investment Bank is currently seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their EMEA eTrading Technology team.
The Application Support team work closely with Business Unit / Traders, Client Support team and Capital Markets Technology for Equities, Futures, FX and Portfolio & Algorithmic Trading related issues.
This is predominately a level two support position, working across Cash Equities Application & Algorithmic Electronic Trading related issues.
The team support the integration of new releases, bug fixes, patches and configuration changes into production, including post release checks and trader training / notification as well as escalate issues to Client Support, Network Support, DBA teams when required.
Other duties include contacting exchanges to resolve connectivity problems; issues with receiving rejects on orders, cancels or amends; getting Outs/Cancellations on stuck orders or any other trade related issue.
Skills required;
* Previous Application Support experience, ideally across Cash Equities/ eTrading
* Knowledgeable in Linux/Unix
* Consistently seeking for opportunities to automate; Scripting skills (i.e., Python, PERL, etc.)
* Solid knowledge of SQL with experience and good understanding of database concepts
* Working knowledge of FIX Protocol beneficial
* Experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide, global trading platform
* Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiastic attitude
